Portland Eats

Breakfast time!
It's been a while since I've had a proper American breakfast.
T's brother was able to take two days off and take us around Portland. He's our tour guide for this trip.
green tea to start
mushroom, spinach, garlic, cheddar cheese, and pepper jack omelet with rosemary potatoes.

After breakfast, we went on a much needed shopping spree. Portland doesn't have any sales tax so I went a little shopping crazy :-D

Omar prepared us a snack prior to leaving for our small hike up Multnomah Falls.
fresh jam made by T's brothers girlfriends mother. Try saying that three times! It was delicious!
Wheetabix with almond milk, sliced bananas, and fresh jam. A snack made after my own heart. Yum!
We've arrived at Multnomah Falls after a 40 minute drive. Not too shabby!

The kids were fascinated by the chipmunks as was I :-D
Multnomah Falls is the second largest waterfall in the U.S. I wonder what the first one is...

Brotha love
The hike to the top of the waterfall is a steep 1 mile walk. If you want to test your cardiovascular endurance, try walking to the top. T and I were sure huffing and puffing!
The scenery along the way was very calming and pretty. I loved all the outdoorsy smells, especially the smell of moss!

Hike marker 11 of 11. We've made it to the top!!
The view from the top was well worth the hike.
I love waterfalls... they are so powerful and really beautiful to look at.
Pok Pok. We arrived to find out that this restaurant was just awarded the James Beard award for best chef of the Northwest. Sweetness!
