PIG OUT

Brunch:

Brunch at Sweets n Savories.

I love the dining scene in Chicago. Sort of torn between London and Chicago. Aww what the heck. My heart still belongs to the Windy City!! We split all the above in three. I had a bite of each. The cinnamon roll was my favorite. So delicious w. a cup of joe!
Sweet potato bisque. Creamy, warm, soul satisfying.
Lobster hash with warm soft potatoes, poached eggs, and a lovely light hollandaise sauce. I finished my plate!

Mid day snack:
Leaning tower of boxes

Two of my favorite things. Wings and beer. The only thing missing was the Chicago Bears.

The things we do for long lasting youth

I've never done a face mask before. I'm 26 years old and I've never done this. I dunno how I intend to preserve my skin! It's really hard not to smile or laugh in this thing. Seriously. Very. Hard.
I'm almost scared of myself. Btw. I don't wear dresses on a normal afternoon basis but I'm getting ready to drive down to the suburbs to have a lil fun.

Breakfast earlier:
My dish: Egg white omelette w. roasted red peppers, brie cheese, and carmelized onions. Wheat toast on the side. Per the usual, I put butter and honey on it.
I had a bite of my bro's dish. I wasn't a fan. The bread was too chewy for me. Give me a brioche french toast over this any day.
Grilled Francese bread rubbed with pesto, topped with grilled turkey breast,
roasted red peppers, eggs over easy, white truffle aioli
and scallions
Workout at the gym this morning: Whole body strength training w. emphasis on my tush.

Movie night!

w. my daddy!
I thought the movie was pretty good even though I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the finance industry. I really dug the all-star cast though: Michael Douglas, Shia LaBouf, Carey Mulligan, Susan Surandon, Josh Brolin, cameo by Charlie Sheen. Good stuff. I love the back drop of New York City in the movie. The fast paced life, tall building architecture, the lights, the promise that every morning brings...mmm. It's so alluring!

Dinner was very late since my gracious brother decided to join us for dinner after the movie. We went to a place I hadn't been to in yeaaars. I'm sure many would agree that one stops going to Applebee's after a certain age. Maybe 18?
bring on the fried gooey cheesy goodness baby!
Thirsty? Have a nice refreshing Coors Light
Unpictured: 9 oz sirloin steak, Sizzling asian skillet, fettuccine pasta w. meatballs.

I think I'm getting delirious from my tiredness. I'm going to try and sleep more than 7 hours tonight. There does seem to be a full moon tonight. The stars were out in full effect in our backyard. Love!

Grumpy.

for no reason! Maybe because our washer and dryer is broken? There is a full moon?

Anyways. I did a 5 mile run at the gym and some abs.

Lunch:
Panera bread on repeat! I had this the other day and enjoyed it so much that I ordered it again. The orchard chicken salad- Goat cheese, cranberries, pecans, pears, w. a cherry dressing. Droooolll...
I might be biased to Wisconsin bees. This honey just tastes so much sweeter than the others I've tried. The bread was nice and crunchy too on the outside and chewy on the inside. Perfecto!

Cure for my mood?

Alright alright. The next time I'm in a canoe, I promise to paddle it on my own.

"If you don't go to the gym, you don't look good. If you don't tan, you're pale. If you don't do laundry, you don't have clothes."- The Situation.

hehehe. He never fails to amuse me.

Eye candy of the day:

I don't watch Son's of Anarchy but maybe I should start...

More of the same

I'm turning into a pod. a boring pod.

I thought I was going to go running this morning so I ate this
Blacker than black coffee. Wake me up before you go go.
But.. it was too cold and slightly drizzling.. and I'm a wimp. So sue me.
So we decided to go to breakfast instead
Did I just walk into someone's country home?
No phones at the breakfast table puhlease!
cute tiny condiment jars. I really wanted to be a klepto and snag one but I didn't have my purse on me. JK!
Doesn't this look familiar? Its cuz I ordered the same thing the last time I was here! It's called the Healthy Benedict.
Much more fun eating in color.
Now I'm really going to go running but this time it'll be inside. Peace out yo.

Chocolate heaven

One on the left has walnuts, dark chocolate peanut butter dreams spread on it with unsweetened coconut flakes
The one on the right has dark chocolate chips with pecans in it.

Star ingredients
Needless to say, I'm drifting on a cloud of chocolate pillows. Mmm....

Before this breakfast, I ran to the gym and did some weights. I had to run to the gym because my parents left me stranded in Rockford without a car ALL day. Booooorrring.

Yup! Still loving on my toy
So many cool functions on this guy. One of them is that I can upload my data onto my computer to see my average pace, time,  heart rate, and calories per lap. I was obviously soooo slow today since my body felt like a huge weight after my strength training session.

What does one do when stuck inside the house all day? Looks like I'm going to have to be clever. More importantly, what do I make for lunch? :P

Throwback song of the day: Next "Wifey"
