The Town

I saw the movie tonight and I give it the Hanna's stamp of approval! If you enjoy gritty bank heist movies, then this will fit that bill. If you want to see some man candy, then I would watch it as well. :-D
If you're a gossip girl fan, you should check out Serena's aka Blake Lively's portrayal as a drug addicted/trashy townie ho ho.

Since we had a late breakfast, here's our random leftover spread for lunch:
Chicken wings, mapo tofu, salmon, sweet potato, steak, seafood medley, brown rice, kimchee, and some mackeral. Phew.. Try saying that five times fast!
After eating all this food, my mom and I were both feeling pretty bloated and full so I grabbed a red bull from the gas station and headed to the gym for an additional weights/bozu workout. It was just what the doctor ordered. Although I left with a slight headache from the gym, I definitely felt less pilsbury dough girl like.

Dinner tonight was half a whole wheat pita with some hummus. We got home from the movie at 9:30 and I didn't want to eat a heavy dinner.

Making my breakfast cookie for tomorrow. Ingredients included: oats, dark choco chips, almond slices, walnuts unsweeted almond vanilla milk and peanut butter.

I'm so tired from getting up early that I'm calling it an early night. It's a Saturday night and I'm in bed by 11!

Run for love

Like I said.
The 5k went pretty smoothly this morning. I got up at 5:30 this morning when the sun wasn't even out!  The start of the race seemed to drag on forever. They had a guy in front leading the stretches for 20 minutes. Was that really necessary? Probably not. I ran it in just under 26 minutes. There was this older man in front of me that I could have easily passed but I decided not to disrupt his glory moment. Next time I will take no prisoners!
Runners high!! I know I could have run this one faster but for some reason, I was too tired, too out of breath, and too full maybe from last night's meal? haha.. Excuses!

Post run feast:
Blurry egg whites on a whole wheat english muffin, melted mozzarella cheese, tomato slices, avocados with organic potatoes. The cup of sauce made from horseradish and mayo maybe was for the potatoes. YUM. Overall the dish was quite a mouth pleaser!!
Blackcurrent iced tea. I don't know why but I can't find iced tea in London ANYWHERE. It's quite annoying as I don't really want to have either juice, water, or alcohol all the time.

Check out the southern style cup. I adore those!!

Throw your shells on the floor...

because you're in Texas!
I love this place- country music, light beer, and steaks the size of your big tush!

Never ending barrel of Peanuts
When can you throw something on the floor without having your nagging rents tell you to "clean it up!!" NEVER!!
The bread was warm and the apple cinnamon butter was DIVINE. The butter is what makes the bread in this case.
I wanted to be somewhat conscious- no croutons, no cheese and dressing on the side please. I only used a little bit of dressing.
My meal: Filet Medallions with portabello mushroom sauce and a baked potato. Some of my filet was slathered in unpictured A1 sauce. I had half the potato and left some of the rice. I ate most everything else as usual. Yumminess!!
Picture break!! Cheers!
My dad's meal was the NY strip aka smothered style with onions and mushrooms
My mom "the health nut" with her salmon, sweet potaters and some unpictured broccoli.
As if dinner wasn't enough, we went to Coldstone per my dad's request. I secretly hoped someone would suggest dessert so I didn't have to! I had the sinless sweet cream ice cream w. cookie dough, choco chips, fudge and caramel. I asked the girl to go easy on the toppings. She was accommodating. Us girls gotta stick together man :P

I'm running the 5k tomorrow. Gotta leave the house by 6 a.m. to get there. I'm excited!!

Peace out yo*

Burbs=FUN?

Free shots from the owner of the restaurant Aleks!

Unpictured: side salad and a bison burger. The bison burger was quoted as being healthy but looking at the grease on the top of the patty, I highly doubt it!
We were definitely the "woo hoo" girls at the table whenever we got an answer right.
Trivia night. Our nickname was the Black pussycats? Don't ask!! We came in 5th I believe.
DJ: "What is the capital of Kentucky?"
Other girls: "it's Louisville"
Me: "Isn't it Lexington??"
Hannah: "YES! It's definitely Lexington"
DJ: The capital of Kentucky is "FRANKFORT!"
Other girls pointing at us and laughing: "You guys were wrong!!!"
Hannah: "Well the answer still would have been wrong if we put Louisville!!"
Me pondering that for a second: " oh yea.. good point."
We're at a bowling alley where most the patrons looked to be under 21. Shouldn't they be in bed getting ready for HIGH SCHOOL!?
The many faces of Hannah Montalvo. Seriously girl. Can you not give me one smiling picture!

Lunch earlier that day:
I have eaten this chirashi bowl 3 times since I've been back in the states. I think I'm its biggest fan.
My mom's portion plus an unpictured Dragon roll that included eel and avocado.
I had this bar for breakfast this morning on the way to some appointments. I really dig these Larabars. I can see it being an acquired taste for some peeps though.

My daddy came back in town today!! Just as I figured.. he's sleeping.

Movie to get excited about:
Anyone else find Ben Affleck's bad boy persona in this movie to be incredibly sexy? Ow-ow..

We've got a runner folks!!

As in runny eggs.. oolala..
Check out the colors.. That was my post 4 mile run breakfast. I really wanted to run outside today to prepare for my 5k on Saturday but when I woke up it was raining cats and dogs. I'm sorry but didn't I leave London to escape the rain? A treadmill was just going to have to suffice!

Pre-run snack:
This banana is making love to the peanut butter. Sooo delish! I prefer all natural peanut butter SO much better than the standard household Jiffy or whatever other PB is out there.

I'm all sweaty.. time to scrub a dub. Ciao.

Work it mo' juge it mo' pump it mo, Chi-town mo' let's go mo'

Kanye's Hanna's workout plan....:) New reading material!!
I'm digging it minus the awkward booby chick in the front. Honestly, I would have picked a better cover for this book. You would think its a book on how to check your mammary glands!

Anyways, I'm hoping to develop some different weightlifting workout plans. I want to build more musssssclllles!! Variety is the key to stay motivated. I'm currently doing a Bozu circuit for a few weeks but intend to switch it up soon.
Am I adopted? I seriously asked my mom, uhm how often do you think you'll be listening to "Bird Songs from Around the World???" Granted its a discount book but you literally push a button to hear different bird songs. Wouldn't you get more from going to a park or something and listening for birds? A nature conservatory? A zoo?! Bueller?  It's almost endearing........ I said almost. We'll see how long it takes before the book is in the basement collecting dust.

Breakfast time!!
Fried egg and avocados on top of whole wheat toast.

Once again, let me go into a little schpeal. I never liked avocados. I was the girl who always asked for the avocados on the side (to give to the person who wanted them) or just asked for my dish without it. Recently though, after reading about the many health benefits of avocados, I decided to like avocados. It was that easy for me. No obsessing over how bad it was going to taste or how I wasn't going to like the texture. I just said "I'm going to enjoy eating avocados" and now I really do.

Never underestimate the power of your own mind. Believe in something wholeheartedly and don't let the doubts creep in. Try it with anything, whether it is with a new health food you want to incorporate into your diet or a new exercise program. Say to yourself "I will enjoy eating this" or likewise say "I'm going to be a runner" or "I will develop a stronger core". You'll be surprised at the many affirmations that come true.

I digress. Side dish at breakfast:
Yogurt w. bear naked granola. The texture was chewy. I'm not sure if I'm a fan yet. It's the healthy stuff but ya'll know how much of a fan I am of the crunchies!!
Snack on the way to the suburbs. I was dying to try Larabar's because thats what all the health bloggies seem to be eating. All natural ingredients. This one had ginger, cloves, almonds, and cinnamon. It was really gingery but I ended up still liking it. It always seems to take me a few bites with these bars before I really discover the flavor to be enjoyable.

Dinner: Unpictured leftover pizza and some vino. Pinot Noir. My favorite! and no I didn't drink all that on my own. Some was drink drank drunk by my mom, some by me and perhaps some by the carpet.
Ooops!! I'm so clumsy sometimes. Is there a full moon out tonight because I managed to spill wine on our carpet by just sitting there chatting on my cellie and another klutzy moment occured when I was sitting on top of the computer desk (don't ask) and I fell backwards on to the floor leaving a bruiser on my leg. At this rate, I'm safer in bed.

G'night Moon.

Yo quiero

a little creepy I know. The dog isn't as cute as I remember from the commercials..or maybe I've just grown up. Oh who are we kidding. I'm still just a kid who loves white flour tacos and processed meat!
My love for hot sauce might be borderline obsessive. Whoever thought of the cute slogans on the back of these packets was a genuis. One of mine said "Will you marry me." You think the drive thru guy was trying to ask me something? heh heh.
So you look at this and say well this isn't healthy! I know Taco Bell overall isn't very healthy for you but I chose the best option available to suit my craving for fast food. I looked up the calorie content online before I went and chose the following three things.
1.) Fresco crunchy taco- 150 cal
2.) Fresco ranchero chicken soft taco- 170 cal
3.) Fresco ranchero steak soft taco- 170 cal

Not too shabby if I say so myself! In order to make smart dining choices, you must take the time out to do your research!

Dessert:
Crushed oreos, pecans, slivered almonds, ff caramel sauce. I ate this while watching One Tree Hill. No one told me this show was still on!! I seriously feel like a teenager again living at my moms and watching shows like Gossip Girl and 90210.

Oh dear. Someone save me.
