ET PHONE HOME!

I'm smiling in this picture but on the inside I was thinking WTF are we doing here?
We seriously went to bufu and back to pick up Sonoma from the Animal Reception Center near Heathrow airport.
must.get.home.safely
Cars were speeding past us as we walked to the bus stop.
Honestly.. Could they have picked a more inconvenient place to bring the animals?
International 'Noma.. la la la...

We had some visitors.
They love to see "le chien" "le chien!!!"
Alki loves Sonoma!!
But is also deathly afraid of her. What a contradiction :)

It is Halloween afterall..
so a little torturing was in order..
I'm a little pumpkin yes I am.
The costume wouldn't stay on!!

Dinner:
Stuffed peppers. YUM
It's been a looooong day. We're pooped.

Get your pizza while it's hot

Veggie pizza with onions, corn, olives, green peppers
Mexican pizza with beef, red peppers, jalapenos
Who doesn't love a little PJ's garlic sauce
Party time: I need to be better about taking more pictures while I'm out. There were more people dressed up than I thought there would be. Let's see.. there was lady gaga, some devil ears, scary mask wearing men, a vampire, and a witch. None of which I got pictures of.. doh!!
Happy 30th Birthday
Our costume didn't go over quite so well. People thought we were pirates bikers.
Breakfast:
I decided to be a little sneaky and try a scoop of T's magic powder. He claims it gives me extra energy for his workouts.
Ingredients: Kiwi, strawberries, spinach, vanilla yogurt, soy milk, and ice.
The powder didn't really make me feel any differently but it did give my smoothie a yummy lemon lime flavor.
a bagel on the side w. cream cheese and honey. My favorite topping.

Did a little cleaning this morning. Kitchen grime is the WORST.
Sparkly clean..
Our little rascal is coming home today..
Flippin princess.

Isn't that too much food?

Workout this morning:
3 sets of 15 reps on each exercise. My arms will be dead tomorrow. Guaranteed.
  • Dumbbell curl
  • Lying dummbell extension
  • Hammer curl
  • Overhead dumbbell extension
  • Reverse curl
  • Bench dip
  • Dumbbell shoulder press
  • Dumbbell lateral raise
I can definitely see the progress from when I first started lifting to now. I am developing a nice tone in my shoulders, back, and arms. I feel so strong and empowered!!

Today's smoothie might have been the best tasting one since I've started using the Vitamix.
Into the power blender:
1/2 cup of yogurt, 1/2 an apple-seeds and all its glory
big handful of spinach
1/2 cup frozen berries
cup of unsweetened soy milk
a heaping sqeeze of agave necter- provided the sweetness I've been missing in all my previous smoothies
I dug out this long lost treasure from our pantry
I loved this Muesli on top. YUMMMOOO!! I'm obsessed w. anything cinnamon these days!
Afternoon movie time:
Would highly recommend. Sort of a tear jerker. Or maybe I'm just a sap. I know I've mentioned this before but love love LOVE Mark Ruffallo!!

Dinnertime:
http://www.akidemae.com/
Potato salad
Chicken yakitori
warm potatoes and beef
Miso soup but with onions instead of tofu or seaweed :( BOOO!!
Some sort of pickled vegetable I think?
VERY fresh sashimi.
my own mini bottle of wine? Why yes please!
Sweet egg- cold but delicious
Fresh sushi
Tempura- good balance of tempura and veggie
Anago pressed sushi roll and scallop nigiri sushi
UNI BOWL!!
Uni is the most unique tasting dish I've ever had. It's creamy, earthy, musty, a bit strange, and insanely delicious all at the same time. IS this even possible? When I first tried it, I thought it tasted like a dirty room. HA!
Tonkatsu. Very nicely fried and crispy. The pork was a little bit too chewy but it's fried dude. Enuff said.
Yellowtail cheeks
By far the scariest looking thing to arrive on our table. I for sure thought it would eat me before I even touched it. Pretty tasty if you can get past the actual fish head.
this definitely does NOT count as dessert.
BUT THIS SURE DOES!!
The apple cake was deliciously cinnamony too.
Yea I said it. IT'S CINNAMONY. I'm allowed to make up words dontcha know?
The strawberry cheesecake haagan dazs flavor is a must try. There are actual graham cracker bites in the ice cream. O.M.FRIGGIN.G. SO GOOD!

I'm not sure if I'm going to read my book or pass out on the bed.

Food coma for reals.
